Audience Development Manager, D Magazine

D Magazine is seeking someone experienced in audience development to join our team. This position requires someone with exceptional customer service and communication skills. You must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and a quick learner. The audience development manager coordinates with several departments in the company and manages third-party relationships. You must be analytically minded with a better-than-average understanding of Microsoft Excel. Daily duties include handling customer service calls, updating reports, managing department interns, on-site merchandising of distribution outlets, and working directly with the audience development director on creative subscription, insert card, and online initiatives. You must have a good attitude and get excited about your job. Even the Excel stuff. It's fun!

The ideal candidate possesses the following qualities:
  • Direct marketing experience developing new audiences and retention programs
  • Understanding of list development, management and segmentation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with other teams both internally and externally
  • Experience with email marketing, SEO, online surveys and social media marketing
  • Highly organized and efficient
  • Entrepreneurial instincts and the ability to work independently
  • Able to juggle numerous functions and deadlines
  • Experience with print publication audits and USPS rules and regulations are a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication or a related field

Front-End Web Developer, D Magazine

D Magazine is looking for a smart, imaginative individual to lead the development of designed interfaces in cross-platform desktop and mobile environments. We're looking for someone who thrives working in a small team, loves diving into new technologies, and is passionate about helping us build the best media site around.

Responsibilities
  • Develop efficient and clever solutions for the implementation of a finished design in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Work with other developers and designers to build websites consistent with product roadmaps and brand requirements.
  • Perform updates & maintenance on existing WordPress & .Net MVC sites.
  • Deploy email templates
Required Skills/Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Web development.
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS and all aspects of cross-platform browser development.
  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and front-end application logic.
  • Experience working with jQuery (but not reliant on it for building innovative solutions)
  • Proven experience connecting front-end clients with back-end web services and databases
  • Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and other emerging technologies
  • WordPress, PHP, Linux experience, a strong plus
  • ASP.NET MVC experience, a strong plus
  • Understanding of responsive web design.

Account Service Manager, D Custom

D Custom is hiring an Account Service Manager to manage and grow existing customer accounts. The ASM serves as the primary business contact for the client and is responsible for excellent customer service and overall client satisfaction. The ASM acts on behalf of our clients, representing their needs and goals to the internal creative team to ensure quality. In addition, the ASM will build relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for implementing client strategy and effectively working with the internal team to meet client objectives and timelines.
- Provides regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations.
- Manages all client communications, conflict resolution, and adherence to client deliverables according to scope of work.
- Reviews all major deliverables to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met.
- This position will also be responsible for maintaining client workflow and adhering to process while ensuring brand standards are met and projects are profitable.
- Works closely with the project team to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project.
- Ensures that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing the director of any problems that may arise.
- Assists the director with the contract and contract renewals.
- Approves change orders and invoices.
- Aware and in pursuit of opportunities for account growth and new business, involving the director.
- Understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicates all offerings to the client.
- Reports to the director, providing regular input on all account activity, including status and reports on a weekly basis.

Requirements:
- Proven track record in managing external client relationships
- Ability to develop a strong rapport with designated client contact as well as grow and develop other relationships within the account
- Tactical project management expertise and a high capacity for multi-tasking
- Minimum 5-7 years of account/project management experience
- Extremely detail oriented
- Motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a problem solver
- High level of initiative and works well in a team environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well
- Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction
